What is Bullying?

Bullying is a serious problem, and too often overlooked. Bullying can happen anywhere: in school, at home, face-to-face, in text messages, or on the web. It is not limited by age, gender, or education level. It is not a phase and it is not a joke. If you or someone you know is being bullied, you need to do something and you need to do it now.

How can you tell if you or someone else is being bullied? There are many warning signs that could indicate that someone is involved in bullying. A child who comes home from school missing items, has unexplained injuries, has trouble sleeping, has a change in eating habits or behaviors, loses interest in school or friends, has a change in mood, or may feel helpless or suicidal, are all potential warning signs.

If you suspect that someone you know is being bullied or is bullying others, there are things you can do to make it stop. Talk to your parents, teachers, and friends. Seek help. Do not ignore it. Bullying is not an innocent prank. Bullying can cause lasting and irreversible harm. LEARN MORE...
